From 28 kg to 50 kg: Kashish Kapoor’s Healthy Weight Gain
From 28 kg to 50 kg in 120 days, with the help of food science. ~Dr. Raghav Thukral
Severe Underweight and an Eating Disorder
Kashish was only 28 kg when she joined our weight gain programme. She had been diagnosed with anorexia, an eating disorder in which a person eats very little, leading to malnutrition.
Eating disorders are an important cause of physical and emotional ill health in adolescent girls and young women, and are much less common in men. Their causes are complex: genetics, stress and environmental factors all play a part.
In spite of expensive supplements and workouts, nothing had improved her internal health. I guided her to eat correctly with a natural, home-cooked diet, and the results were remarkable. ~Dr. Raghav Thukral
“Thank you so much, Raghav Sir. I was body-shamed by everyone and it was unbearable. I tried everything to gain weight but failed. I got a schedule of a healthy, homely diet that was natural. Thank you, doctor, for making me feel confident again and living my life the way I want!”
Important: anorexia is a serious medical and psychological condition. Weight restoration must be gradual and supervised, because refeeding too quickly can be dangerous. Care should always include a doctor and mental health support.
